Step 1 — Prep

Exfoliate in the shower the night before using a loofah or body scrub. Dry skin holds color unevenly — this step is what separates a flawless tan from a patchy one. Apply a light layer of moisturizer to your elbows, knees, ankles, and wrists before applying — these areas absorb more product and can go darker than the rest of your body.

Step 2 — Apply

Squeeze a quarter-size amount onto a tanning mitt. Start at your legs and work upward in long, sweeping motions. Blend thoroughly — especially around the ankles, knees, and elbows. Go lighter in those areas. Wash your hands immediately when you're done.

Step 3 — Develop

Wait at least one hour before showering, swimming, or sweating. Your full color will show in 6–8 hours. For a deeper shade, apply a second coat after the first hour.

Step 4 — Maintain

Moisturize daily. Hydrated skin holds color longer. Avoid hot showers and over-exfoliating between applications. Reapply every 5–7 days or when the color starts to fade.
